Croatian President Ivo Josipovic has said that Croatia is interested in establishing whether Croatian nationals were implicated in a scandal surrounding the Hypo Alpe Adria Bank in Croatia.
"It is most important to detect the causes of the crisis of the bank and Croatia is particularly interested in establishing whether there were criminal activities implicating Croatian nationals," Josipovic said in Vienna on Monday after meeting Austrian President Heinz Fischer.
Fischer said that Austria had energetically acted in order to bail out the bank.
The aim was to stabilise the bank and help it to recover, he added.
