Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic on Friday wished a merry Christmas to believers who celebrate it according to the Julian calendar.
Milanovic said in a note he wished "the Christian holiday of peace, hope and togetherness" to "be an additional impetus for an optimistic beginning of a new, better and more successful year."
"There are many challenges ahead, but I believe that, by following the general human and ethical values, we will create together an equitable and successful society of equal opportunities," the prime minister said.
