The eurozone's expected exit from the recession will certainly help Croatia too, Economy Minister Ivan Vrdoljak said on Tuesday.

"I am confident that this year we will achieve that too and be at a positive nil", Vrdoljak told reporters who asked about the outlook on Croatia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) with regard to trends in the eurozone.

Croatia's exports are in a good measure tied to the European Union market and with the eurozone coming out of recession, that will certainly help us too, he said after presenting a public-private partnership investment to construct the "Justice Square" in Zagreb's western suburbs.

Analysts have speculated that the eurozone will achieve a growth in GDP in Q2, the first time since 2011 and end the longest recession of its 14-year existence.

Analysts have forecasted that after GDP has fallen for six consecutive quarters, the average GDP in 17 eurozone countries has grown by 0.2% compared to the preceding quarter.
