The company Omco Croatia from Hum Na Sutli is the best Croatian company, according to the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK).

Omco Croatia, Europe's leading manufacturer of tool for the production of glass packing material, was presented with the Zlatna Kuna award for business excellence in 2011 on Tuesday evening.

Since 1997, the company has been part of the Omco International Group, headquartered in Belgium. Omco Croatia exports more than 97 percent of its production.

Zlatna Kuna was also awarded to the best small and medium-sized businesses, the best bank and the best insurance company.

The best small-size company is the company Sestan Busch from Prelog which manufacturers anti ballistic helmets and other military equipment and the best medium-size company is the baby-food producers Vivera from Glina.

Erste & Steiermarkische is the best bank and Euroherc is the best insurance company. Boris Balic received the Zlatna Kuna award for the best innovation

.The life time achievement award went to retired law professor Vladimir Ibler.

Present at the award ceremony was First Deputy Prime Minister Radimir Cacic who said that Croatia today was at 80 percent of its production from 1990. Announcing that government would adopt measures to fix this situation, Cacic, who is also Croatia's economy minister, said best investment potentials were in the energy sector and food production.
