A former chairman of the Podravka food company's managing board, Zdravko Sestak, and former procurement director Darko Korosec have been indicted for fixing HRK 6 million-worth of business contracts for Nevio Prlog, who in return financed construction works on their private real estate.

The Croatian anti-corruption investigating agency (USKOK) on Friday issued an indictment accusing Sestak and Korosec of having taken bribes and Prlog of having given them.

USKOK alleges that Prlog won Podravka's calls to tender in collusion with the other two, in return financing Korosec's and Sestak's construction works on their private property.

Sestak is also one of eight suspects whom USKOK holds to be responsible for a HRK 400 million fraud in that food making company based in the northern city of Koprivnica.
