This is the second victim in Sibenik-Knin county of bitterly cold weather. Earlier this morning police reported that cold weather claimed the first victim in the county, a 50-year old man whose body was found outside his house in the village of Boraja near Sibenik.

Police also reported one traffic accident caused by weather conditions.

Snow is no longer falling but the temperature is still -5 Celsius.

Sibenik Mayor Ante Zupanovic decided on Monday that schools in the city would remain closed on Tuesday because of the poor weather conditions. A local crisis centre will decide tomorrow if schools would open on Wednesday.
