The remains of 550 people identified after exhumation from mass graves will be buried in the eastern Bosnian town of Srebrenica on July 11, on the 16th anniversary of the genocide committed by the Bosnian Serb army and police against Bosniaks in the former UN protected area in July 1995.
According to available information, the remains of 3,749 victims have been buried so far at a cemetery which is part of the memorial complex of Potocari, where during the war Dutch UN peace keepers were stationed.
Local media have said that at least 6,000 people will arrive in Srebrenica on July 11 to once again pay tribute to more than 8,000 Bosniak men and boys killed there.
