The fourth day of farmers protesting in Brod-Posavina County is running smoothly, the county's police spokeswoman Kata Nujic said on Saturday.

Around 150 tractors and 200 farmers have blocked roads at three points in the county.

A police patrol is continuing to guard Agriculture Minister Tihomir Jakovina's home due to announcements by protestors that they would dump manure in front of his house.

For now farmers have not completely blocked the county's roads as they had previously announced.

Farmers are protesting in Virovitica-Podravina County too blocking the D5 state road toward the Hungarian border with 89 tractors and have announced further blockages on other roads.

One spokesman on behalf of the farmers, Josip Brodjanac said that the farmers had no other choice but to block roads as this was the only way to express their dissatisfaciton to the government.

Farmers no longer wish to negotiate with Minister Jakovina but demand a meeting with Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic.

The minister is frivolous, each time he says something different. He first claimed that subsidies had been paid out in full and then on Friday he admitted that 37% of subsidies had been paid out and offered another 22% in vouchers. We have nothing more to comment on his statements and demand a meeting with the prime minister, said Brodjanac.

Farmers have announced that they would block roads at other points in the county during the day.
