Thousands of people took part in Tuesday evening's march through downtown Zagreb, demanding that Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor resign and that elections be called.
The next rally was announced for 6 pm on Thursday.
Tuesday's protest march ended in Zagreb's main square at 9.30 pm. The press said there were no incidents and that up to 10,000 people took part in it.
The protesters marched to the sounds of drums, chanting "Everyone to the streets," "Croatia is waking up," "We want elections" and "Jaco, go away" - referring to Kosor.
The protesters stopped in front of the offices of the ruling HDZ party as well as the opposition SDP and HNS parties, and in front of the homes of Parliament Deputy Speaker Vladimir Seks, Interior Minister Tomislav Karamarko, and Transport Minister Bozidar Kalmeta, shouting "thieves" and "resignation".
Workers of the Kamensko textile company, which is in receivership, also took part in the rally, announcing that as of today, they would be in the streets, together with the Croatian people, every second.
Police confirmed that the protest was peaceful and that it brought together about 4,000 people, the biggest turnout since the protests began two weeks ago.
