Former Prime Minister Ivo Sanader will be invited by defence teams to testify at the trial of eight men indicted for an HRK 400 million malfeasance concerning the Podravka food company.
Mate Matic, a lawyer for former Podravka Chief Executive Officer Zdravko Sestak, said that after the indictment was issued against his client and another seven indictees, defence lawyers had agreed to list as witnesses all people they had not managed to interview in the pre-trial stage of the process.
If the court grants their request, Sanader will be served with a subpoena.
