The ratification of Croatia’s Treaty of Accession with the European Union will remain high on the list of priorities of the Slovenian Parliament even in the event of the vote of no confidence to the incumbent Janez Jansa’s government, said Alenka Bratusek late on Thursday evening who is holding negotiations for creating a new parliamentary majority on behalf of the Positive Slovenia (PS) party.
Bratusek told Slovenian Television that one of the project of an interim government, which according to her could be formed in a month, month and a half, would be “the completion of the story with Croatia”, namely the ratification of Croatia’s EU accession treaty, so that Croatia could enter the bloc as planned on 1 July.
