Asked to comment on the arrest of Ivan Mravak, a former CEO of the state-owned power supplier HEP, Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor told the press that "all institutions are doing their job".

"We will persevere in the fight against corruption and won't give up. As regards the government, there is zero tolerance to any form or anyone's corruption," Kosor said, referring the press to the institutions investigating this case and adding that the government supported the independence of those institutions.

Mravak was taken to the police for questioning earlier today after the police searched his flat in Zagreb.

It has not been officially stated what he is suspected of or if he has been arrested. The Interior Ministry briefly said the flat search was related to an investigation of the sale of electricity at excessively low prices, harmful to HEP, and that an investigation had been launched, at the order of the national anti-corruption office USKOK, against three Croatian citizens suspected of conspiracy and abuse of office.
