The new Slovenian government led by Prime Minister Janez Jansa on Friday won a vote of confidence in the 90-seat parliament when 50 MPs of the 82 deputies attending the session voted for his cabinet. Ten MPs were against, and the remaining deputies abstained from the vote.
Presenting his agenda before the confidence vote, PM Jansa, leader of the Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS), announced belt-tightening measures.
The new government consists of 12 ministers coming from five parliamentary parties that make up the ruling coalition.
Jansa was also in the office from 2004 to 2008.
