Kosor comments Brammertz report

Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor said on Thursday evening she was glad to see that ICTY chief prosecutor Serge Brammertz had recognised Croatia's efforts to locate missing documents sought by the UN war crimes tribunal at The Hague.

"Our task force is continuing its work. We will proceed because gettingat the truth about the wanted documents is primarily in Croatia'sinterest," Kosor told Croatian Television and Nova TV, commenting onBrammertz's report on Croatia's cooperation with the ICTY, which he deliveredearlier today before the UN security Council.

"These documents are owned by Croatia and they belong to all ofus," Kosor said. "It is in our interest to find out if they existedand if so, where they are now, and if they disappeared, how that happen and whowas the last person to hold them."

ICTY chief prosecutor Serge Brammertz on Thursday welcomed the effortsCroatia was making to locate the missing military documents, known as artillerylogs, dating from the 1995 Operation Storm, calling for urgent steps to betaken in order to wrap up a comprehensive and credible investigation intolocating the missing documents.
