The president of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), Tomislav Karamarko, said on Tuesday that the party presidency at its session today talked about a report of a task force concerning the trial in the Fimi Media case, adding that he personally wanted that a solution in this case be found as soon as possible.

"We shall see if we will opt for a trial or a plea bargain," Karamarko told reporters after the session, adding that he was yet to consult with legal experts on this matter.

I advocate the individualisation of quilt, Karamarko said, adding that he did not want to prejudge the verdict.

The HDZ presidency at its session today decided that former party president Jadranka Kosor be given the seat of the chairwoman of the parliamentary committee for the youth, family and sports and former deputy parliament speaker Vladimir Seks the seat of the chairman of the council for the implementation of the corruption prevention strategy.

Karamarko also said today that he most definitely advocated a consensus about Croatia's future. He also said that the Peljesac bridge was as a strategic national, political and economic project which would link the south and the rest of the country.
