The Croatian Economy Ministry on Monday said that engine fuel prices for the 3-16 April period could go up between HRK 0.25 and HRK 0.27 per litre, whereby the top-selling Eurosuper 95 petrol fuel will amount to HRK 11.29 per litre at the most, while the price of diesel fuels would go down between HRK 0.04 to HRK 0.09 per litre.

Over the past two weeks, the national oil company INA and other oil companies operating in Croatia did not go for the upper limit of fuel prices. The public will know tomorrow what the oil companies decided to do, as the petrol prices can go up only after midnight Monday.

According to the ministry, the highest price of Eurosuper 98 can be HRK 11.67, up HRK 0.26 per litre from the current HRK 11.41.

The price of Eurosuper 100 is nearing the HRK 12 mark and in the next two weeks it can amount to up to HRK 11.93 per litre (currently HRK 11.66)

The most expensive of diesel fuels will be Eurodiesel whose upper limit as of midnight is HRK 10.24, down HRK 0.9 from the current HRK 10.33 per litre.

The price of blue-dyed fuel, intended for agricultural machinery and fishing boats, can go down 0.04 kuna, from HRK 6.66 to HRK 6.62 per litre.

The price of heating oil can go down HRK 0.04 per litre, from HRK 7.45 to HRK 7.41 per litre.

Petroleum prices have been going up since mid December 2011.

Oil companies and petrol stations may change the prices over the next two weeks but may not exceed the set upper limits.

The prices of fuels are defined every two weeks in accordance with trends in retail pricing of oil products on the Mediterranean market and the exchange rate of the US dollar, with the increases or decreases not exceeding three percent.
