The European football governing body UEFA has fined the Croatian Football Federation 25,000 euros for incidents caused by Croatian fans during the match with Ireland.

Croatia was fined because its fans threw flares and firecrackers into the field and because one of the 8,000 Croatian spectators went onto the pitch.

Croatia received a stiffer fine than Germany (10,000 euros) and Portugal (5,000 euros), but a less drastic one than Russia which was given a suspended six-point deduction for the EURO 2016 qualifiers.
