Bosnia appointed Tuesday a well known Yugoslav player Safet Susic as the new national coach, following the resignation of Miroslav Blazevic.

The Bosnian Football Federation's board unanimously appointed former Paris St-Germain player as the new coach, Bosnian media reported.

The 54-year-old Susic was the coach of French club Cannes in 1994 and later lead teams in Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

He played for former Yugoslavia 51 times and scored 21 goal. Thirty years ago was named the best Yugoslav football player.

Blazevic resigned after Bosnia failed to qualify for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
