Kosovo and Serbia reached a deal on customs rules on Friday after failed talks on the issue in July led to an outbreak of violence and threatened to damage their European Union membership aspirations, Reuters news agency reported.
The agency quoted an EU official as saying that Pristina and Belgrade reached a compromise on customs procedures at EU-brokered talks in Brussels. "The two sides found a compromise on customs stamps and also on cadastral records for Kosovo," the official said.
The deal includes an agreement to grant Kosovo access to official documents - such as property records - currently held in Serbia, the official said, according to Reuters.
