After signing an agreement with the government on Wednesday night, protesting farmers withdrew from almost all roads in Vukovar-Srijem County, the leader of the county farmers' association, Tomislav Pokrovac, has said.
Government officials and representatives of farmers' associations last night signed an agreement on the settlement of farmers' demands.
Disgruntled farmers had taken to the roads with dozens of tractors in several areas in eastern Croatia on Monday, insisting, among other things, on the full payment of grants for the 2008/2009 spring sowing.
