New gov't of Bosnian Federation chosen

The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina got a new government on Thursday, comprising ministers from the Social Democratic Party (SDP), the predominantly Bosniak Party of Democratic Action (SDA), the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) and the Prosperity Through Work party (NSRzB).

The new government was formed at a special session of the lower house of parliament in the evening after it and the upper house approved the appointment of Zivko Budimir of the HSP as President of the Federation and Mirsad Kebo of the SDA and Svetozar Pudaric of the SDP as Vice-Presidents.

Nermin Niksic, of the SDP, was appointed Prime Minister. The new government consists of seven ministers from the SDP, five from the SDA and two each from the HSP and the NSRzB.

Anto Krajina of the HSP will serve as Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, while Jerko Ivankovic-Lijanovic of the NSRzB will fill the post of Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry.
