Croatian Ivica Kostelic won the super-combined silver medal at the alpine skiing world championships in Schladming on Monday.
American Ted Ligety won the gold medal and Austrian Romed Baumann won the bronze.
Ivica Kostelic was the favourite after winning Kitzbuehel's classic combined for the fourth time shortly before the worlds, but the Croatian played it too safe in the slalom run.
