The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) has decided to suspend three clubs from the first division league – FC Hajduk, FC Karlovac and FC Sibenik -- over their failure to pay incurred debts, including players' wages, according to a statement issued on the HNS web site on Wednesday.

The three clubs should pay their overdue financial obligations within 24 hours of the 24th round of the HNL premier league, due on Saturday, in order to have those suspensions lifted in time for them to play in the said round.

The football clubs from Sibenik and Karlovac are late in paying wages to dozens of players, while the Split-based Hajduk F.C. is suspended over its overdue obligations, in the amount of EUR 350,000, to the Sibenik club regarding the transfer of player Ante Rukavina to Panathinaikos.
