A preliminary feasibility study, which is financed by the European Commission and which is expected to provide an answer to which solution for connecting the Dubrovnik region with the rest of the country is the best, should be completed on 18 August, Croatian Foreign and European Affairs Minister Vesna Pusic said in Brussels on Wednesday.

"The final draft of the preliminary feasibility study is expected on 18 August," Pusic said after a trilateral meeting with Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European Commission headquarters.

Earlier today, Pusic held talks with EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fuele, chairman of the Bosnian Council of Ministers Vjekoslav Bevanda and Bosnian Foreign Minister Zlatko Lagumdzija.

Three documents that will enable a normal movement of people and goods after Croatia joins the European Union were signed before the meeting.

Pusic said that the preliminary feasibility study took into account 11 possible solutions for connecting Croatia's territory and that the first draft which includes two versions of a bridge connecting the mainland with the Peljesac peninsula had been assessed as the most acceptable solution.

Pusic said that at this moment, the European Commission was considering some objectives to the criteria which needed to be taken into accounts while drafting the final version.
