A protest of warning, organised by disgruntled farmers, started on Monday in Ferovac on the road Pozega-Nasice, and at the Ludbreg ring-road, while most of the farmers' associations have for now postponed the announced protests.
The disgruntled farmers ask the payment of incentives, the legalisation of farming facilities at a minimal price, amendments to the law on state farmland so that "big players" are not favoured over family farms and the solving of problems that have piled up in the production and processing of milk.
Dragutin Dukic, head of the farmers' associations coordinating body from Slavonia and Baranja, said that farmers from Pozega-Slavonski Brod County were protesting today.
He stressed that farmers demand an urgent meeting with the prime minister and the finance minister, adding that unless those in charge receive them, they wold stage a protest outside the parliament building.
Another 20 farmers protested in Varazdin County.
Other farmers are waiting to meet the prime minister and the finance minister, otherwise they will join farmers protests on Tuesday.
