Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor met Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann in Vienna on Monday.
After the talks, Kosor said the arrest of and further proceedings against ex-Croatian prime minister Ivo Sanader was in the hands of the Croatian and the Austrian judiciary.
"We have arrived at the conclusion that the matter is in the hands of the Croatian and the Austrian judiciary," Kosor said, adding that she and Faymann addressed the issue on the margins of their talks, but that the discussion was logical and unavoidable.
"We couldn't have avoided that topic, and that was not our intention," said Kosor, adding "We did not mention any details."
"We both advocate full independency of independent bodies such as the state attorney's office and the judiciary," Kosor said.
