Croatia's best skier, Ivica Kostelic, came fourth in a men's World Cup slalom race in Schladming, Austria on Tuesday, missing the podium by 0.01 seconds.
Marcel Hirscher of Austria was first.
Kostelic retained top spot in the men's World Cup overall standings with 905 points, ahead of Hirscher, who has 825 points, and Beat Feuz of Switzerland, who has 665 points.
In the men's World Cup slalom standings, Kostelic is first with 595 points, Hirscher is second with 460 points, and Cristian Deville of Italy third with 370 points.
