Cernogoraz wins men's trap shooting gold

Croatia's shooter Giovanni Cernogoraz on Monday won the Olympic gold in the men's trap at the London Games, and the other Croatian shooter in this event, Anton Glasnovic, finished as the sixth in the final of the men's trap.

Massimo Fabbrizi of Italy claimed the silver and the bronze medal went to Fehaid Aldeehani of Kuwait.

The Croatian 30-year-old shooter clinched the gold in a shoot-off.

Thus, Croatian participants in the 30th Summer Olympic Games have so far bagged three medals: two golds and one silver.

Croatia's best athlete Sandra Perkovic won the Olympic gold in the women's discus on Saturday, with her throw of 69.11 metres.

This past Friday, Croatia's team consisting of David Sain, Martin Sinkovic, Damir Martin and Valent Sinkovic won the silver in the men's rowing quadruple sculls.
