Bosnian Serb Prime Minister Milorad Dodik on Monday accused the United States of uncritically representing the interest of the Bosniak side in Bosnia-Herzegovina, reiterating that the Republika Srpska would not agree to any kind of changes aimed at strengthening the central government bodies in Bosnia.

Dodik sent a press release to the media, following the State Department's recent report on the security situation in Bosnia which, among other things, said that the country cannot efficiently fight terrorist threats.

The State Department holds the organisation of law enforcement organisations in the country most responsible for this situation, saying there were many police services, however divided by entity borders and without a true coordination at the state level.

"Efforts by Republika Srpska officials to undermine state-level institutions slowed efforts to improve operational capabilities to combat terrorism and terrorist financing. These factors resulted in Bosnia being vulnerable to exploitation as a potential staging ground for terrorist operations in Europe," the State Department said in its report released on August 5.

Bosnian Security Minister Sadik Ahmetovic has said the State Department's report was yet another proof that Bosnia must urgently reorganise its security services and set up a police force at the state-level.

Dodik, however, refuted this possibility in the strongest terms, saying that the latest assessment by the U.S. Administration was the continuation of the "anti-Serb policy."

"This is a well-known policy: ' Blame the Serbs for whatever is wrongs in the Balkans and blame the Republika Srpska for everything that is wrong in Bosnia'," said Dodik.
