Bolt wins at IIAF World Challenge, high jumper Vlasic second

Current Olympic champion Usain Bolt won the 100 metre race at the IAAF World Challenge meeting in Zagreb on Tuesday.

The Jamaican sprinter clocked in at 9.85 seconds, the season's best time and the new record of the Hanzekovic Memorial Meeting. The previous record was held by American Tyson Gay, with last year's result of 9.92.

Kim Collins, from the Caribbean nation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, came second at 10.01, while Richard Thompson of Trinidad and Tobago finished third at 10.3.

In the women's high jump event, Anna Chicherova of Russia was the best, clearing a height of 2.00 metres, the same as Croatia's Blanka Vlasic who placed second. Ebba Jungmark of Sweden was third, with a height of 1.94 m.
