The bus that was attacked in Zagreb earlier today was not transporting fans of the Greek football club PAOK, as previously reported, but VIP guests of the football club from Thessaloniki which is scheduled to play Dinamo Zagreb at the Maksimir Stadium on Wednesday.
Police said that the bus carrying some 40 people was attacked in Zagreb at 1310 hours by several dozen unidentified men.
At the time of the attack, the bus was under police escort, so police immediately arrested several hooligans.
A passenger vehicle was damaged in the attack as well.
According to the media, the Dinamo Zagreb football club confirmed that the attacked people were not the supporters of the Greek club but its VIP guests.
Dinamo and PAOK have previously agreed that they will ban their fans from attending games abroad in Thessaloniki and Zagreb.
