Croatia's Agrokor concern confirmed on Thursday that it had submitted an offer to buy 23.34 per cent of shares in Slovenia's Mercator store chain which the Pivovarna Lasko brewery has put up for sale, adding that all questions about the offer should be put to the seller.
According to the Slovenian media, the brewery said Thursday that three purchase offers had arrived for its stock in Mercator - from Agrokor and the Warburg Pincus and Mid Europe Partners investment funds.
The brewery's management and supervisory boards will study the offers and decide about further steps, the company said.
