Former head of the Croatian Intelligence Service (HIS) Miroslav Tudjman, confirmed on Friday that he would speak with Radovan Karadzic's legal advisor Peter Robinson in Zagreb on Monday, underlining that he was forced to do that interview by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia's (ICTY) subpoena.
"I asked that they behave in accordance with the law, that (the interview) be conducted in the official premises of representatives of the Croatian government, given that I did not agree to be interviewed, but I was subpoenaed," Tudjman told press.
In July the ICTY ordered the Croatian government to ensure that Tudjman may respond to the invitation for an interview with Karadzic's legal adviser.
Tudjman was expected to testify before the ICTY about the alleged smuggling of arms to Bosnian Muslims (Bosniaks) during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Tudjman has said the government had freed him from the obligation of keeping a state secret, but not entirely, adding that the government would allow him to answer four to five question.
Wartime Bosnian Serb leader Karadzic is on trial before the ICTY for genocide and other war crimes committed in Bosnia and Herzegovina between 1992 and 1995.
