The Slovak Parliament on Wednesday ratified Croatia's Treaty of Accession with the European Union, as the first parliament of an EU member state to do so, TASR news agency reported.
The Accession treaty was supported by 145 deputies. For the treaty to be adopted it needed to be endorsed by 76 MPs.
The process of the Slovak ratification of the Accession Treaty, signed on 9 December in Brussels, will be completed after it is signed by Slovak President Ivan Gasparovic.
