A group of workers of the Salonit asbestos factory in Split on Monday smashed glass panes at the entrance of the factory to enter its premises.
According to union steward Jozo Maric, the protesters organised sit-ins in order to prevent the company's official receiver Marko Kozina and representatives of the "Adriatic Blizna" company to enter Salonit's premises.
The protesting workers accuse Kozina of having allowed "Adriatica Blizna" to get the job of removing asbestos from the factory's yard and surroundings although the company had no licence for such activities.
The police conducted an on-the-scene investigation after the incident.
