War veteran Zeljko Sacic, who is at the helm of a newly-established movement called "Action for a Better Croatia" (ABH), said on Thursday that the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor (DORH) and Chief State Prosecutor Mladen Bajic were the biggest enemies of the Croatian people, and urged the government to call parliamentary elections immediately.

Presenting the platform of the ABH initiative, Sacic told a news conference in Zagreb that "Bajic and his associates must step down as he has focused all his strength on the prosecution of Croatian war veterans".

On the other hand, Bajic has done nothing to prosecute those who attacked and devastated Croatia and perpetrated atrocities against the Croatian people, Sacic said.

Demanding that the current government immediately call parliamentary elections, he said that it would not be good for Croatia if the current Social Democratic Party (SDP)-led opposition coalition came to power.

According to Sacic, a group of minor political parties should form a coalition for the forthcoming elections so that they could win the polls.

Sacic also urges the government to better inform the Croatian public about the accession negotiations with the European Union and to make public agreements it has so far signed with the European Union.

He described the ABH as an all-Croatian nation-building movement whose aim is to rescue Croatia.

"ABH will work for a modern Croatia in which people can live off of their work and have decent lives," he said.
