Split police officially confirmed on Sunday that the body found in the seaport's Marjan forest park yesterday was 31-year-old Mexican Selena Margarit Graciano Macedo, who went missing on Wednesday.
Signs of a violent death were found on the body and police and the county prosecutor are looking for the perpetrator and investigating the circumstances of the death, Split police said in a press release without revealing further details.
There are still no suspects. Police appealed to everyone who knows something to contact them.
