Croatia's Olympic champion in the women's discus throw, Sandra Perkovic, won a Diamond League meeting in Rome on Thursday by throwing 68.25 metres, only 23 cm less than the world's best season throw she achieved at a recent meeting in New York.
Yarelis Barrios of Cuba was second, throwing 64.41 m, and Zinaida Sendriute of Lithuania was third, throwing 62.85 m.
