There have been no requests for help from Croatian citizens in Libya so far, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said on Monday, recalling that most Croats left Libya earlier this year as soon as conflicts broke out.
There are no Croatian diplomatic staff in Libya and the embassy in Tripoli, after a large evacuation of Croats, has been temporarily closed because of the security situation since March.
Before the conflicts broke out, there were about 500 Croats in Libya, including about 380 engaged through Croatian companies, about 50 are employed in foreign companies and the rest have dual citizenship.
Most of them were evacuated in February and March.
