Croatia's National Competitiveness Council on Tuesday confirmed Ivica Mudrinic's election as new president as well as the council's new members from the government, the economy sector, the academic community and trade unions, the council said in a press release.
Mudrinic is the council's third new president since its establishment in2002 and succeeds Darko Marinac.
The government's representatives in the council are Finance Minister IvanSuker, Economy Minister Djuro Popijac, Justice Minister Ivan Simonovic, Scienceand Education Minister Radovan Fuchs, and Agriculture, Fisheries and RuralDevelopment Minister Petar Cobankovic.
The council's union representatives are Ana Knezevic, president of theFederation of Independent Trade Unions, Ozren Matijasevic, president of theCroatian Association of Trade Unions, and Damir Jakus, president of theAssociation of Workers' Trade Unions.
The National Competitiveness Council will convene again in January.
