The last big group of Croatian nationals, employees of the Croatian Crosco company, was evacuated from Libya to Egypt and they will continue their journey to Croatia on Tuesday, a spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry told press on Monday.
"A group of 27 Crosco workers and five foreigners arrived from Kufra by convoy at the Libyan-Egyptian border," spokesman Mario Dragun said.
"They were welcomed there by Crosco officials and members of the Croatian Embassy who gave them travel documents. They will continue their journey to Cairo by bus, they will spend the night there, and tomorrow they will head towards Croatia," Dragun said.
He added that this was the last evacuation of Croatian citizens from Libya and that several individual cases remained, "whom the Embassy is willing to help".
Dragun said that a news conference would be held at the ministry on Tuesday and that it would also be attended by Crosco officials.
