Ivica Kostelic of Croatia won second place at Vancouver 2010 super combined and defended his silver from 2006 Turin by finishing 0.33 seconds behind Bode Miller of the United States on the Dave Murray course in Sunday's men's super combined race.

Miller collected his first Olympic gold medal and his third piece of hardware when downhill portion leader Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway failed to complete the slalom run.

The bronze medal went to Switzerland's Silvan Zurbriggen, who was 0.40 seconds off the pace. It was the Swiss skier's first Olympic medal and the nation's second alpine medal following Didier Defago's downhill gold.
