Croatian President Ivo Josipovic said on Thursday his Serbian counterpart Boris Tadic would be invited to the marking of Croatia's Statehood Day on June 25 if the presidents of all countries in the region were invited.
"If we will invite the presidents of all countries in the region, of all the neighbours from east to west, then we will also invite Serbian President Boris Tadic to the celebration of Croatia's Statehood Day," Josipovic said in response to questions from the press.
We waited too long with this kind of celebration. I think we have agreed everything now. The celebration will have all those important elements and a review of our 20-year history and a look into the future, said Josipovic.
Asked who was responsible for the lateness in organising the celebration, he said it was not a matter of responsibility, adding that ideas were coming and developing, that nobody was guilty and that everything would be as it should.
