Minister of the Interior Tomislav Karamarko has announced the possibility of his political engagement in the forthcoming parliamentary elections.
"I am already engaged in what is called the struggle for a better life in Croatia, and I will probably become involved in the forthcoming elections, but in what way I haven't decided yet," Karamarko said at a press conference on Monday while answering a reporter's question.
He added that he would announce his decision on the matter very soon.
Asked if he believed that Croatian soldiers had fought for the Croatia of today and whether Croatian victims would be happy with the country as it was today, Karamarko said there was no ideal way and that one could not accomplish everything overnight.
The minister was in the eastern town of Dalj, attending a ceremony commemorating 20 Croatian policemen, 15 soldiers and four Civil Defence personnel who had been killed in an attack on the town by Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) and Serb paramilitary forces 20 years ago.
