The trade union of workers at the INA oil and gas company, called Inas, and war veterans' organisations active within the company support planned negotiations between the government and the Hungarian energy company MOL, saying in a statement on Friday that they were pleased to see that the government had finally realised that the situation in INA was alarming.

"We are pleased that the government has finally started to do its work and, as the 45% owner of INA, to protect Croatia's national interests and energy independence. We hope that the negotiating team will maintain the firm stance the government demonstrated yesterday and will look after jobs and the vertical integration of an oil company that has been the motor of the Croatian economy for decades," the statement said.
