Health minister: All crash survivors stable, out of life danger

Croatian Health Minister Rajko Ostojic said on Saturday all the passengers who survived a Czech bush crash near Gospic earlier today were stable and out of life danger.

He commended the emergency teams, as the first one arrived on the scene seven minutes after the bus turned over, saying that because of such situations Croatia had eight regular and 13 additional emergency teams on call during the summer tourist season.

Nine teams arrived at the scene of the crash, he Ostojic. He visited the hospital in nearby Ogulin together with Interior Minister Ranko Ostojic and Tourism Minister Veljko Ostojic.

The interior minister said all the emergency services had done all they could to alleviate the consequences of the accident, adding that the crash had been recorded by security cameras but that the footage would be made public only if the state prosecutor allowed it.

The tourism minister said his ministry would extend logistical support to everyone from the bus who needed it. He told all tourists to travel rested, as security was paramount.
