At its session on Thursday, the Croatian government is expected to officially accept the screw factory DIV's offer for the purchase of the Brodosplit shipyard and to turn down bids by Danko Koncar's Jadranska Ulaganja company for the purchase of the Brodotrogir and Kraljevica shipyards.

As for the 3rd May shipyard, the government is expected to adopt a conclusion on its privatisation and restructuring in line with obligations assumed under Croatia's EU Accession Treaty and tender conditions in the second round of privatisation.

The agenda of the government session on Thursday includes draft decisions to this effect.

Jadranska Ulaganja owner Danko Koncar said on March 15 that he was abandoning his plan to bid for the 3rd May shipyard, and the government is now announcing that it will turn down his bids for the other two shipyards for which he has submitted offers - Brodotrogir and Kraljevica.

Apart from these ailing shipyards, the government will tomorrow also discuss the Pula-based Uljanik shipyard, which is operating successfully. It will discuss a draft conclusion on information from the Economy Ministry that Uljanik plans to carry out a privatisation process on the model of employee stock ownership plan and through an injection of fresh capital.

The government is also expected to discuss a draft conclusion regarding the restructuring of the Dioki petrochemical company and a draft decision on accepting a conclusion by the Agency for State Property Management on the completed tender for the privatisation of the Dalmacijavino beverage producer.
