France's Sandrine Aubert wins World Cup slalom at Sljeme

France's Sandrine Aubert won a World Cup slalom race at Sljeme, near Zagreb, on Sunday.

Kathrin Zettel of Austria came second (+0.43), German Susanne Riesch wasthird (+0.74), while her more famous sister, Maria Riesch, finished fourth(+0.97).

Croatia's Ana Jelusic was 11th (+2.629 and Nika Fleiss 22nd (+4.39). Theother Croatian skiers failed to enter the second run.

Austrian Marlies Schild, who placed second after the first run, fell in thesecond run, while Swede Anja Paerson did not make it into the second run.

The race drew a crowd of about 8,000, including retired Croatian skiingchampion Janica Kostelic.

A men's World Cup slalom is scheduled for Wednesday.
