"Either the HSLS or the MMF", said a team of the Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS), led by party president Darinko Kosor, presenting their election programme to small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, the media and HSLS members in Zagreb on Sunday.
"Our programme if for those who think outside the box," Kosor said, adding that Croatia today had only two political options - the HSLS and all other political parties.
"Today we send out a clear message - not all of us are the same. We drafted a programme which gives hope that Croatia tomorrow will not be Greece, the programme which will not lead to Croatia's lower credit rating and higher interest rates for citizens, the economy and the state," Darinko Kosor said adding that the HSLS programme is the programme of the truth about Croatia's economy and reforms which must be implemented so that the country could overcome the crisis.
Kosor said that the HSLS objective was to create jobs for 100,000 jobless people, adding that those jobs would be in small and medium-sized enterprises and not in municipalities, cities or counties or state agencies and corporations.
We want to do something for those with lowest salaries and raise the income tax exemption bar from 1,800 to 3,000 kuna and we are the only party to propose a single Value Added Tax rate of 23 percent to reduce pressure on tax administration and middle class which we wish to revive, Kosor said.
