Croatian President Ivo Josipovic and his Serbian counterpart Boris Tadic left Mount Jahorina earlier on Saturday and departed to Zagreb and Belgrade respectively.

Their stay on Mount Jahorina overlooking Sarajevo where they held a summit meeting with Bosnia and Herzegovina's three-member presidency on Friday, was prolonged due to inclement weather.

Heavy snowstorms and extremely low temperatures have paralysed traffic throughout Bosnia. Sarajevo Airport has been closed to traffic.

The Croatian president had to cancel his visit to the northeastern Bosnian city of Tuzla on Saturday due to poor weather conditions.

Snow is still falling throughout Bosnia with snowdrifts higher over one metre.
